Psychiatrist (Multiple Openings) Evaluate, review, and interpret patient’s health history, conduct psychiatric evaluations, physical exam, and review pertinent test reports to determine diagnosis; develop and implement appropriate treatment plan and provide instruction and education to patients and family members; evaluate patients presenting to the emergency or access center, evaluate patient’s situations, and develop appropriate treatment plan which may include hospitalization or outpatient treatment; evaluate hospitalized patients, monitor progress, and release patient from hospital with appropriate medications, therapy, instructions, follow-up, etc.; recognize abnormal patient responses to treatment, therapy, and/or medication and implement corrective actions as appropriate; document all aspects of care provided in a timely manner; complete paperwork necessary to assure payment for services rendered; participate in the call coverage at Mercy Medical Center and in outreach to various clinics and nursing homes; and maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals, and related material, and by attending seminars, and conferences. Approximately 90% of time is spent in direct patient care activities. Approximately 10% of time is spent in paperwork, committee meetings, etc. Requires Medical
Degree, Board Eligibility/Board Certification in Psychiatry, and must be
